PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Lifelong Learning… in the Arctic… for the Arctic.
Nunavut Arctic College proudly serves this beautiful territory. Our commitment to delivering lifelong learning is rooted in empowering students and communities while celebrating and preserving Inuit language and culture. I am honored to serve as President and deeply grateful for the support of faculty, staff, and students who continue to rise to every challenge with determination and heart.
In 2023–2024, we saw meaningful progress in many areas. We celebrated the graduation of our first Practical Nurse Program cohort in Rankin Inlet, marking a milestone in community-based health education. This achievement, born from the Pre-Health Program launched in 2021–22, reflects the importance of partnerships and third-party support in enhancing elder care and building local capacity. We also continued expanding access to programs across the territory, including delivering the Nunavut Teacher Education Program in 17 communities. These efforts, supported by improvements to our IT infrastructure and our connection to the CANARIE network, are crucial to delivering accessible, high-quality education in our remote and diverse communities.
Looking ahead, the College remains committed to growth, renewal, and the realization of a long-term vision shaped by communities and partners across Nunavut. I extend my deepest thanks to all College staff for your dedication and hard work—it is through your efforts that Nunavut Arctic College continues to grow, adapt, and thrive.
